Background
The Institute of Federalism is a worldwide known centre of competence for issues on federalism, constitution making and democracy and is the leading research institution on Swiss-Federalism. It has a high national and international reputation.
“After a lot of experience with different CM-systems which were either to complicated to use or to difficult to administrate, we intended to develop a CMS as user friendly as possible.
“Most of the users of our CMS are academic researchers without experience with complex software, and also the CMS needs to be comfortably operated without any special training. Thus the new content management system to be developed had to be as easy to use as possible without any limitations in functionality.
“After an exhaustive evaluation, a very important part of our CMS could be implemented by integrating the EditLive! for Java WYSIWYG-editor from Ephox. It is wonderful easy to understand and it has exactly the same look and feel as the commonly known Microsoft Word. Also from a technical point of view, we were very impressed by the unlimited customization possibilities and how easy it was to integrate EditLive! into the CMS-framework.
